Managed domestic and International legal affairs, acquisitions, divestitures, corporate investigations, risk management, contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, litigation, and supply chain matters.
Formerly Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary for Toshiba International Corporation (“TIC”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Toshiba Corporation. Managed legal affairs for the company in North America, Canada and Latin America. Established export control, customs compliance, records retention, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and NAFTA compliance programs, audit procedures and training.
Formerly Senior Counsel for Compaq Computer Corporation (“CPQ”), a global computer manufacturer acquired by H.P. Addressed the outsource of supply chain activities to Taiwanese electronics manufacturers to cost down work in process. Negotiated strategic alliances, supplier agreements, technology licensure agreements, and confidentiality agreements.
