Practical Experience

Ms. Goodrow's practice is interdisciplinary and grounded in a solid understanding of her client's key business issues. On a daily basis, she provides practical business planning and contract advice to mid-market companies in diverse industries. She represents large family owned companies in corporate compliance, tax planning, acquisition and growth strategies, and business matters.

As a former Senior Director Tax and Associate General Counsel with Enron Corp. Ms. Goodrow developed strong skills in complex partnership and limited liability structuring while providing tax and general business counsel to Enron Wind and Enron Pipeline Companies. She has experience in renewable energy and real estate investment projects as well as corporate finance transactions.

Alicia serves as counsel to the Aquinas Companies, LLC, Linbeck Group, LLC, and AlphaDev, LLC -affiliated companies which leads the Houston community in construction, project management, and engineering as well as real estate investment, biotech investment and management.  Alicia works directly with senior management to supplement the role of specialized in-house and external counsel and to provide corporate secretary and general business law leadership.

Her other clients include PSRG, Inc., providing safety and process engineering services in the energy industry; The Tasting Room companies operating a portfolio of creative wine and food venues; Tsol, LLC, a technology solutions company headquartered in Mexico City; and Texas Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists, LLC providing diverse specialty care in veterinary medicine.

Prior to Enron, Ms. Goodrow was an associate with Lord, Locke, Bissell & Liddell for seven years.

Over 18 years of both in house and private practice experience in counseling management and investors in various corporate matters. including liability, and intellectual property management purposes; private placements, succession planning for business sales; and mergers and acquisitions.

Ms. Goodrow is fluent in Spanish, her publications include articles in the Texas Bar Journal, the Practical Tax Lawyer, and the Journal of Real Estate Taxation among others.
