Practical Experience

Since 2003, Vice President, General Counsel and Cooperate Secretary for Luminex Corporation, ( NASDAQ: LMNX), an Austin-based company that develops, manufactures and distributes proprietary biological "multiplexing" testing technologies with applications through the life- sciences industry.

Formerly, VP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for 724 Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ: SVNX;  formerly Tantau Software; AV company) provider of wireless infrastructure solutions to FI's and mobile operators.

Held multiple senior counsel positions with Compaq Computer Corporation with responsibliity for providing legal counsel to Worldwide Sales and Services, Supply Chain Management and the Consumer Products Group.

Worked in private practice for litigation firm in Los Angeles, CA.

Professional Associations and Community Involvement

David is a member of the Texas Bar Association, American Bar Association and is on the Board of Directors for the Austin/San Antonio Chapter of the Texas General Counsel Forum. He also sits on the Corporate Counsel for Long Center for the Performing Arts and the Board of Directors for the Austin Chamber of Commerce, where he has co-chaired a task force assessing ISD performance in central Texas.

David sat on both on the UETA and UCITA Advisory Committees to Texas Bar Association.  In Houston, he was formerly a chair of the Houston Bar Association International Law Committee and past chair of the ACCA International Law Committee.
